The Kirchner Food Fellowship, a Kirchner Impact Foundation initiative, today announced a collaboration with the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR) and North Carolina State University (NCSU) which will provide financial and technical expertise in support of the 2018-2019 Kirchner Food Fellowship program.

Three distinguished Agricultural Investment Fellows, researching and acquiring hands-on training in agricultural investment and soil fertility, said they have received funds from the Kirchner Group to find and invest in a small and medium sized agri-business that is focused on improving soil health and water for small farmers.

Solena has developed a methodology that allows farmers to asses and manage their soil microbiome, which helps to increase yields, prevent disease and improve overall soil health.
