Brian is a Ph.D. Candidate at Auburn University; where his research focuses on international development, global finance, and governance. He earned an MA. in Economics from Georgia State University (GSU) and a BSc. in Economics from University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).

Brian has worked with international development organizations to design and implement development projects; where he soon realized that more research and economic investment are needed to achieve sustainable development outcomes in underserved communities globally. Since then, Brian has carried out several research studies in the areas of development and governance, including one that identified strategies to promote financial inclusion for women-led small and medium-scale enterprises.

Brian believes that fostering social entrepreneurship through impact investing is a more sustainable approach to development because it leverages community ownership to create wealth and employment in underserved communities.
